![]() And what you said about Loneliness Remains is very true! I find it closer to Shades Of God, The Word Made Flesh comes to mind. It feels very unique, and also has a distinct feeling to it, which I can't put into words. Als Death Metal Ende der 80er, Anfang der 90er krftig rollt, geht es den meisten Bands darum, als so schnell und brutal wie. Good songs, just with another "feel" than that of the album itself.ĭamn I don't understand why don't they like Tragic Idol: Tragic Idol, Glorious End, Ending Through Changes, Solitary One. It's as if they were "outsider" songs of the album. In a way though, I think I can understand why they leave some songs (great songs most times) out of albums, because when I listen to them they just sound a little different to the album. Yeah! The bsides on the self titled are madness, excellent tracks. I'm not expecting them to like Host, which I think is amazing, but damn, you don't like Draconian Times? In Requiem? I think a lot of times it's just close mindedness. To those who say it's their only good album, well, I've nothing to say truly, I can't believe there are metalheads who deny the excellence of their other metal albums. Besides, I love the cover art too hahaha. I like it because it's pure in its filthiness, and feels genuine, which for me sets it apart from the VAST majority of extreme metal. For me, it took a while getting into Lost Paradise because of the rawness, but I appreciate it for the absolute darkness that conveys, it's a fucking dark album. The b-sides and shit off Draconian Times are just as good as the album! (Although I will say, that demo version of I See Your Face with that slowed down doomier section, definitely glad they cut that part out lol). Last Desire, Another Desire, Masters of Misrule, the demo version of Hands of Reason. Hear the Night, yeah I know it's off the new album, but I don't hear this praised compared to the other worthy songs on the album. Beneath Black Skies, also read from here that this was never played live? Catchiest chorus on the entire damn album! Primal, just has the most epic feeling to me out of that album. Never Again, sounds like I'm repeating myself here! Ordinary Days, played a couple of times live very early on in the Host touring era but never again after. Shallow Seasons, I get this grunge/alt metal vibe from it, maybe because the title reminds me of Shadow of the Season by Screaming Trees? It's also my favorite off Icon. Another Day, apparently this was never played live? Not sure the legitimacy of that. ![]() Leave This Alone, should've made the album tbh World Pretending, I agree with what you said.
